Medical Issues

Medical issue services include screening, assessment, brokering for evaluations through Administrative Medical services, consultations and staffing with medical providers and Public Health staff, brokering for medical treatment and accommodations and other services to identify and address medical conditions.

Medical Education

Medical education, course of study directed toward imparting to persons seeking to become physicians the knowledge and skills required for the prevention and treatment of disease. It also develops the methods and objectives appropriate to the study of the still unknown factors that produce disease or favour well-being.

Health Advice

Medical advice is the provision of a formal professional opinion regarding what a specific individual should or should not do to restore or preserve health. Typically, medical advice involves giving a diagnosis and/or prescribing a treatment for medical condition. Medical advice is given in the context of a doctor–patient relationship.

Research

Medical research involves research in a wide range of fields, such as biology, chemistry, pharmacology and toxicology with the goal of developing new medicines or medical procedures or improving the application of those already available. It can be viewed as encompassing preclinical research (for example, in cellular systems and animal models) and clinical research (for example, clinical trials).
