Welcome to the electronic version of the AIMSA Medical Journal! The journal is published quarterly and it reflects the aims and activities of the AIMSA It is not the task of the AIMSA JOURNAL to publish new scientific medical research. This is clearly the function of the multitude of information available in either broad-based or specialized journals. However, there is a place for publishing overviews of trends, new areas of medical progress which may not appear in the general run of medical journals and which can increase physicians’ awareness of developments of which they may be unaware.
